Celgene Awards $100,000 to Worldwide Breast Cancer

Worldwide Breast Cancer, a charity using design to increase patient knowledge of breast cancer globally, has recently received one of three $100,000 Innovation Impact awards from Celgene.

"We think this is a powerful tool in educating a global audience about the symptoms of breast cancer," said Director of Oncology Global Patient Advocacy Susan Gorky on behalf of the award committee. "We can't wait to see this roll out and make an impact for breast cancer awareness and detection."

Applicants created a video to explain how they would "reach the unreached" in an innovative way. You can see Worldwide Breast Cancer's video here, demonstrating the concept of the need for a digital education platform:

WBC is thrilled to be working with the experts at Dogtown Media in Ventura, CA as the development partner. Work begins early 2017 and plans to launch in multiple languages before breast cancer awareness month. The tool will feature the award-winning visuals from the #knowyourlemons campaign which has already educated 5 million people in 70 countries and 15 languages.

You too can be part of this global campaign by becoming a Global Education Partner. Sign up to download the leaflet, donate and share with friends to help others identify breast cancer symptoms sooner.
