When women have breast related questions, how do they know which provider will give them the best experience?

Half of visitors to our website, and many from our app, say they have a breast concern. We want to refer them to local health providers that will make their visit a good experience.

By getting certified as a Know Your Lemons Breast Education Center, your patients will know that you understand all 12 symptoms of breast cancer, will set up a screening plan based on their personal risk factors, and will provide a good education experience as part of their visit where they will be heard, and referred if they have a concern.

And the best part?

With our tools and training, it won’t add to your workload and we refer patients to you!

Our program works seamlessly with your current practice, is easy to complete, and will improve the patient experience in life saving ways. Here’s how it works:

  • Through a self-guided online training course we educate your staff on breast health basics: 12 symptoms, 9 risk factors, breast density, screening, and self-exam. Most importantly, we teach your staff how to transfer that knowledge to patients in an approachable and life-saving way using our education tools. Each member of your staff earns a badge that identifies them as breast health certified.

(In the future this will be CME accredited).

  • Create powerful education moments in your clinic simply by sticking a poster on your wall or door of your exam room or changing room. Just point to the poster and invite patients to download our free award-winning app to do a risk assessment as they wait. If their risk is above average, they can show their recommended screening plan to discuss with you. Long after their visit is over, they can also use the app to keep up on self-exam between their appointments with you, set reminders for their next appointment, and book with your center. For patients that don’t engage with apps, the visual of the 12 symptoms can be a powerful learning tool on its own.

  • When patients are called back for further imaging, or getting a mammogram for the first time, it can be an anxious experience. The app can explain how each test works, and tips for making it a better experience to help them feel more confident and prepared. It can also help them understand testing results.

  • For those reporting on imaging results, we help you become compliant with the most recent FDA requirements for reporting breast density and ensure you are communicating with patients in a way that promotes understanding and reduces confusion.

  • We will send you quarterly updates on the latest developments in breast health with social media images you can use. You will receive a 10% discount on all Know Your Lemons materials that you can customize with your own logo to use at health fairs, increase patient referrals, and do community outreach.

  • Half of women who come to our website say they have a breast concern. And for those using our app, when they report a concern we refer them to local certified centers near them to get their concern investigated. Because your clinic is certified, you are set up to be the best place for them to go with any breast question, big or small.
